There’s more to life than keeping up with the Jones. Don’t get so busy that you end up forgetting the most important things in this life such as your character, family, and friends. When it’s all said and done I don’t think any of us want to be rememored for being the last one to leave work and yet our loved suffered because of upside down priorities. Sometimes you just have to choose the slower road so you don’t get sucked in.
Dear Lord, i am a single parent to a 5year old girl without a job for six months now. I need to provide to this young girl and things are geting realy bad as i dont have any money to apply for jobs. Lord, ive gone to several interviews in the past for the same job i was doing having same qualifications mentioned, confidence and i got nothing. I pray 2 u Lord for i am a short and skiny female so interviewers judge my apearence and conclude. Give them an eye to see my potential oh Lord for i am in financial problems. Help me I am so confused and scared . My youngest step-son told my husband & I that he is GAY . We raised him to know the LORD. But he has turned his back on GOD. I feel like a stranger. Henry, I too am in financial dismay. It’s been almost a year and I have lost much, including my sanity at times. I have tried so many times to change things around to no avail. My faith has been testedover and over.
However, my faith is now stronger than ever. Everyday, I see the Lord’s blessings that get me through another day. My love for the Lord has grown. I may be in a weak position, but I am stronger for it.
I also stopped taking things (I mean anything) for granted. Food, shelter, water, my dogs’ luv, etc. I use to complain about making very good money, living in a beautiful home on Capital Hill, being in good health. I use to spend too much money, drink too much, eat badly…on and on. I wasn’t centered and I was miserable about everything that should have been good.
Well, that’s my story. It took a while, but I turned my life totally over to the Lord. I am thankful to know first hand the suffering that this recession has caused so many. I was naive to how fast devastation can happen to anyone and how hard it can be just making it day to day.
Lord, thank you for blessing Henry with a miracle. I pray things will turn around for him soon and he finds happiness and financial security again. Amen.

Lord, I come to you right now. Seeking clarity and help from you. Lord, I feel like I am a failure. I’ve done everything that society says would make me successful, but still nothing seems to ever work out, and if it happens to work out, it only lasts for a short time.
I have a man living with me whom I care for deeply. We are not married and I know that living togoether unwed is not your will. Yet Lord, if we didn’t live together, I’m afraid that both of us would be in an even more difficult living situation.
I felt so much stress on my part-time job, that I resigned, leaving me few options for work. I have the desire to returen to school, but I don’t have the money to pay off my balances. I feel so lost. Every job I look for says “Bachelor’s Degree” and it sickens me because I am so close to it, but I’m technically 7 hours away.
My parents are fighting for their lives and taking care of my nephew at the same time.
I often wonder what I have done to receive this type of torture, punishment. Even now, I see all of the things that I should have done. I pray for humility, but always end up as the laughing stock. I’m so tired of this depression that I suppress and so tired of my true destiny feeling unreachable. It seems like all my blessings are on hold. I can see them in a glass box, but the box is unbreakable with every bit of action I take.
I feel like you have deserted me Lord. But, I look at everyday I wake to another day, in my right mind (no matter how stressed), in decent health (well enough to work, eat, laugh, sleep) and I realize I have some purpose, no matter how muddle it may be.
HELP ME LORD. I ask for sincere forgiveness and repent of my sins, for I know that are not pleasing to you. I ask you to clean my heart of all impure thoughts and actions. Heal my soul from the hurt and confusion that bombards me everyday. Give me comfort during these times of uncertainty and what feels like abandonment. I want to be used by you Lord. With the way the economy has been going, house sales are few and farrrrrrrrrrrrrr between.
She is in dire need of our prayers for house sales to begin to pick up. She is literally broke and living from day to day as God supplies her daily needs. She’s trusting HIM and trying to ‘stay in faith believing’ that HE WILL provide for her as she hopes and prays for more house sales.
She has sold everything in her house that she could sell as she is trying to survive hoping sales will pick up…now the last thing to sell is her baby grand piano.
She needs a buyer for her piano… that sale could bring in $6,000…which she could desperately use!
Could you join with me in prayer that this will be the week for the piano buyer to call Carey!?
I know God will bless her as she remains in faith believing for HIM to provide for her daily needs.
